Checkout review terms

Version 2026-10-15 · Last updated 15 October 2026

These terms apply to the checkout review offered on ukeulex.ai. They apply in addition to the site's Terms of use. Where the two differ, these terms govern the review. When you send a review request you accept this version of these terms, and its version date is recorded with your request.

1. Who provides the review

The review is provided by Appalachian Customs Service LLC, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, USA ("we", "us"). Contact: min@appalachianuscustoms.com.

2. Business customers only

The review is offered only to businesses, for the purposes of their trade. It is not offered to consumers. By sending a request you confirm that you are acting for a business and that you have authority to bind it to these terms.

3. What the review is

You supply the text, and if you wish screenshots, of the steps of your checkout. We run automated checks over that material, and a person then reviews the results. We send you a written report, as a PDF file, that identifies features of the material which, in our view, warrant attention under the UK and EU consumer laws the report names, with the reasons and the sources relied on.

4. What the review is not

  • Not legal advice. The report is not a legal opinion. It is not given by a solicitor, barrister or other authorised legal professional, and we are not a law firm. Using the review does not create a lawyer–client relationship.
  • Not a certification. The report does not certify, guarantee or warrant that your checkout, website or business complies with any law. A statement that no further issue was identified means only that none was identified in the material you supplied.
  • Not a regulator's view. Regulators, such as the Competition and Markets Authority, trading standards services and EU consumer authorities, and the courts may take a different view from the report.

5. Scope: only the material you supply

We review only the material you supply, as it stood when you supplied it. We do not access your systems, place orders, or test other products, devices, countries, payment methods, promotions or customer journeys. We do not review anything you do not supply, or any change made after you supplied it. The automated checks look for words and price patterns; they can miss issues and can flag matters that are not issues, which is why a person reviews them, but that review is also limited to the material supplied.

6. Your responsibilities

  • The material you supply must be accurate, complete for the steps you want reviewed, and current.
  • You must have the right to share it with us.
  • It must not contain real customers' personal data or any payment card details. Use a test order. We may refuse or delete material that does.
  • Decisions about your website and your business are yours. Before relying on the report for an important decision, take advice from a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction.

7. Fees

Sending a request is free and does not oblige either side. If we can take the work on, we will email you a quote. Work starts, and a fee becomes payable, only once you accept the quote in writing. The quote states the fee and when it is due. The quote and these terms together are the whole agreement for the review.

8. Limits on our liability

  • Cap. Our total liability arising from or in connection with a review, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, is limited to the fee you paid for that review.
  • Losses we do not cover. We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
  • Fines and enforcement. We are not liable for any fine, penalty or other sanction imposed on you, or for the cost of any investigation or enforcement action by a regulator or court. Your compliance with the law remains your own responsibility.
  • Time limit. Any claim must be notified to us in writing within twelve months of the date of the report.
  • What these limits do not affect. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

These limits reflect the fee charged, the fact that the review is confined to the material you choose to supply, and the fact that you, not we, control your website and decide what to change.

9. The report is for you only

The report is prepared for the business named in the request, and for no one else. No other person may rely on it, and no one else has rights under these terms, including under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. If you are an agency or adviser requesting a review for your own client, that client may not rely on the report, and you must not present it to them as legal advice or as a certification of compliance.

You will indemnify us against any claim brought against us by a third party arising from your sharing or use of the report in breach of these terms.

10. Confidentiality and your data

We keep the material you supply confidential and use it only to prepare the quote and the report. It is not sent to any AI service. Requests and screenshots are deleted 90 days after the report is sent, or 90 days after the request if no report is sent. We keep a copy of the report itself as a business record. The Privacy page explains how personal data is handled.

11. Governing law

These terms, the review and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, including non-contractual disputes or claims, are governed by the law of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version you accepted applies to your request; a later version applies only to a later request.
